Biography

Golnaz Walamotamed is a Vienna-based illustrator and painter. After studying Graphic Design, she completed her degree in Art Education at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, where she is currently pursuing a master’s degree.

Inspired by everyday life, nature, and personal experience, her work combines observation with elements of fantasy. Through vibrant colors and narrative imagery, she explores themes of health, transformation, and the relationship between the human body and its environment. Her paintings and illustrations create imaginative visual worlds that move between reality and fiction, reflecting both personal and universal experiences.

Alongside her artistic practice, Walamotamed works internationally as a freelance illustrator and designer in the fields of editorial, publishing, and visual communication. Her portfolio includes collaborations with newspapers, children’s books, and projects for health and cultural organizations. She has participated in numerous exhibitions, and her work has received several awards and recognitions.
